Sustainability
What does sustainability mean when living in a beach community?
It ensures the natural environment's resources are preserved, including plant and sea life.
It involves practices that balance the needs of the present with the well-being of future generations.
How is this done?
- Resources Management: Use water and energy efficiently without depleting them beyond what's replenishable. Minimize waste and dispose of it properly.
- Conservation & Biodiversity: Protecting local ecosystem and preservation of natural habitats, such as dunes, wetlands, and coastal vegetation.
- Waste Reduction & Clean-up: We welcome our visitors and residents to enjoy the beach with a "Leave No Trace" philosophy. The BEach CLEAN intitative is adopted by our residents as a way of positively reflecting our commitment to maintaining a clean and safe beach, shoreline, and ocean waters.
